Intertidal Domestics, 2024
11.52 min.
A multi-channel moving image installation, projected onto the windows of the Ruskin School of Art building for public view. Integrating with and reflecting the surrounding architecture, this screening was looped during dusk in a residential area. The videos were taken from the tanks, filtration systems and backrooms of a local aquarium shop: a sick circling fish, fleshy meatheads, schools of rotating moss balls, mulm (fish excrement) catching the light. The films migrated around the face of the building throughout the film, leaving some windows empty to mirror back the street.
